INTRODUCTION, AIMS & GOALS

Identity and traditions are some important parts of the culture and the culture is one of the main sections of the society and history of a civilization. Architecture, art and design as the main factors of a culture need to create a joint language with past and today to connect with different generations. In one hand traditions and past are some parts of the cultures and societies and in the other hand being needed to be updated with the contemporary time and modernity seems necessary. ITMAD 2026, The international conference on Interactions between Tradition and Modernity in Architecture and Design, focuses on this research area, how to create an interaction and dialogue between past and today and if there is a need to have this interaction. In this regard, the conference is seeking to review, discuss and find solutions of this research problem in different aspects and majors. This conference will be an international platform for researchers, academicians, professional architects, designers, artists and students in different fields to discuss, share their latest ideas and research and connect each other
