With over 4 thousand visitors and 1,500 specialized experts, Heimtextil Colombia 2025 linked the Latin-American DNA with the opportunities from the global industry

Around 1,500 buyers and specialized visitors met during the three days of the tradeshow, with a 60% participation of national exhibitors and 40% from abroad coming from countries like Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, USA, India, Iran, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Panama and Venezuela. Medellin, April 10, 2025 – With more than 4,000 specialized visitors, 136 exhibiting brands from 11 countries and a growth of 15% regarding buyers, Heimtextil Colombia closes its second edition with results consolidating Medellin as a design, sustainability and textile innovation hub for Latin American homes. “Heimtextil Colombia is more than just a tradeshow. It is a global networking platform that consolidates our country as a main player in the global industry for the Home Textile Design. On its second edition, we restate that Colombia is a strategic destination for textile supply, signature creativity and quality. For three days, national and international brands, buyers and experts found commercial opportunities, inspiration and the vision to boost the growth being experienced by this category in Latin America and the world. Medellin is a live city, in constant transformation due to its culture, gastronomy, hospitality and tourism, reassuring that we are ready to lead Latin-American linkage for the Fashion System with a unique capacity widely valued in the global scenario”, states Leonor Hoyos, Tradeshows Director from Inexmoda

Organized by Inexmoda, under the license granted by Messe Frankfurt, Heimtextil Colombia 2025 took place in an optimistic and proactive environment facing the global economic reality, but highlighting the potential Latin America has as a strategic player in the Global Fashion System for the Home and Hospitality Industries. “We are pleased with the positive results during these three days of Heimtextil Colombia. This industry has always had a great potential and with this type of tradeshows, businesses and networking, it boosts the entrepreneurs of the city. This is one more tradeshow in which we work with Inexmoda, becoming a valuable opportunity to internationalize the textile industry, boost the local economy and strengthen commercial bonds. Medellin is still a hub for the industry thanks to its differential value, its projection as an international destination for business and tourism and its strategic location”, says Juan David Molina, Secretary for Economic Development of Medellín . The ‘Knowledge Set’ was one of the most appreciated spaces for the more than 1,000 visitors inspiring themselves with the 48 speakers and 15 lecturers exploring topics like: global trends, textile innovation, architecture, consumer evolution, entertainment, sustainability, and artisanal essence. Among the guests, stood out Alejandro Escobar, partner founder of Sectorial; Javad Eiraji, from TraMod Academy; Nyra Troyce, hospitality consultant and textile designer; Camilo Herrera, from Raddar; and Juan Fernando Molina del Valle, CEO of the Colombian Society of Architects from Antioquia, among others . During the three days, Heimtextil Colombia 2025 presented the Sustainability Route, a spatial curatorship highlighting 10 brands committed with sustainable processes from environmental and social perspectives, with innovative and responsible proposals aligned with the new market dynamics. Each of these brands reflect a genuine commitment to connect with consumers that are more aware of their role and impact on the planet, proving that it is possible to integrate design, purpose and transformation in the Home-textile Industry

Dr. Javad Eiraji, founder and president of TraMod ACADEMY, presented his lecture entitled “Encoding the Past, Today and Future in Architecture & Design” and shared the experiences of TraMod ACADEMY about interactions between tradition & modernity in architecture, interior, fashion and textile design
